Is the montipora bleaching?
Noticed the edges my the montipora going white, read about white edges relateing to a monti growing but the white edges and alot thicker then what ive seen online. The montipora is around two inches higher than my frogspawns which are opening alot. Seems like the white has been getting more severe and stsrting to see algae grow on the back end of it.

I dont seem to notice pest and any of my livestock picking on it. The center of the monti is completly green with no patches just the outside edges are white.

No3 pretty much zero cant see a color change on my test kit
Salnity 1.026
alk 9
ph 8.14
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0

Not sure about my magnesium and phosphate levels but would those affect the edges of the monti going white?

It might be bleaching. Even though a Montipora is an sps coral not all sps corals require that intense light. Just move it down for a couple weeks or so and see how the coral responds. GL.

Pic is a little blurry, but it looks like a healthy growing monti to me.

Alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium are all very important building blocks to life on the reef, and all 3 should be kept very stable.

Can't tell anything with the rainbow lighting effect, but if there is algae growing on the coral, that's not good.

I have a little algae growing on the underside of my larger monti. It's the oldest part of it, is that a bad thing? Doesn't seem to affect it's growth any.

Just means that part's dead. The issue can be (not necessarily will be) is that once algae gets a hold, it begins to out-compete and kill the coral, ie a small spot of algae gets bigger and bigger.
