What's happening to this Zoa?

Kinda confused. Every zoa in my tank except for this one is doing great. I almost thought something was eating it, but I never see anything near it.

Looks as if it may have knocked down or fallen off and hit something, if that's not it then something is bothering it, good luck.

Zoa pox? See those tiny white spots on the stalks. I have been battling something in my tank recently too that is acting like this picture. I cant find any critters during dips but I have found a few spots. My colonies have closed up on the outter parts and slowly died out working its way to the middle. Watch for polyp shrinkage on the closed ones over the next few days.

Could be Zoapox, for that you should try Furan 2 - http://www.zoaid.com/articles004.php

RiddleEagle18, something that's helped me a lot with my zoas melting/dying is doing a chemiclean dose. You'll have to keep your PH up by aerating the water and your skimmer will go crazy for a few weeks but if your whole tank is having issues then I would give a single regular dose of chemiclean a try. Don't know what it does but it has helped my colonies out a lot and saw the benifets the next day.

I don't think it's zoapox. That white on them is sand I think. Definitely not as bad as anything on that site if it is. Haven't I heard of an iodine dip for infections?

U can try iodine but it is pretty harsh on zoa and paly. I have done it about a year or more ago. If u do 3 treatments over 3 weeks. They will loose color. It does return but it's pretty harsh. The speaker at the conference this week was big on fresh tap water dip for 45 seconds temp and ph match the water first. If it's only 1 zoa I wouldn't do the entire tank with any chemicals jmo.

Yeah I only have this problem on this particular Frag. I have a Frag of greenbay packers I got from you Roger that's been closed up for almost two weeks now, but occasionally a few open up, and close after a few hours. Not sure what that's about, but all this happened after I did a tank swap so they could still be adapting. What confuses me is that everything else is doing great.

Yeah, but I've always had led. I've got them set on a maximum of 40% power and only on daylight mode for 9 hours a day. Everything else is happy, and both of these frags used to be happy.

Well I moved this one and the other to the very bottom of the tank, and lowered my whites down another 10%. We will see how they're doing in a few weeks. Thanks for the help guys!
