try the purple kind,even my wrasses eat it. also, it needs to be stationary and not floating about the tank. got an algae magnet? samwich it inbetween the magnets and lets it sit. dont have 1? rocks work fine too.

Agree.... my fish (tangs & cleaner wrasse) devour the purple over the green. I put both on the clip and they move the green to the side to get to the purple first! BTW... they don't touch the red variety at all.

It looks like ich to me, tough to tell in the picture. Garlic may or may not help but can't hurt IMO.

The pics are too blurry to tell anything, garlic does nothing, and copper is NOT 'the best way to go'. With tangs, hypo is the best way to go...although I'm no expert.
