What's the Deal w/Fishy Inc?

I don't mind suporting a good LFS but I've been burned one too many times at Fishy Inc.
This has to be like the fifth time i've tried going there and its closed.Different times and different days.Sign on door says open, business hours say open but doors locked and lights are out.I tried calling before and I get a fax signal.
I'm to the point where I can't be bothered anymore with them.

I bought 3 tanks and a few frags from the store recently. Whenever I was in the store, I always enjoy watching how the owner Les warmly greeted his customers and patiently explained the corals and fish to new hobbiests.

I will share your mentioned problems with Les.

meet les onre time last saturday he had acustomer come in but he spent the time with me.i talked to him for 45 mins and i can tell hes does more in 45 mins then lfs i have been dealing with for 10 years.i live in midle island and will travel tp baysore now.thumbs up les

quadruple post, never seen that before. Yeah i know les was closed mondays over the summer, don't know if he is still. He is usually there by himself during the week so i'm sure something can come up that causaes him to open late or close early. but he's usually there.

les is a great guy. he has no trouble stopping what hes doing to talk to his customers.

i dont get out to bayshore much, so im not really sure how much product he moves normally, but when im there it seems like he just has a lot going on, and its only him. i think that may be the problem that he sometimes closes, becasue he has stuff to get done. hes always been open though when i stop by.

If Les ain't there, just go up to the local crack spot and he'll be there. You have to buy him a vial of crack if you want him to come back to the store though...

I agree that Les is a great guy to deal with.I have no problem at all with him.
I've been down there on a Friday,Thursday and a Monday.Its probably just bad timing but at least put a sign in the window or have a message on a machine.

You're absolutely right.
People from all over the planet use this board, getting close to 200,000 of them now. They all have access to this forum. Please consider that inside jokes will be lost on most of them.

I don't know why or what it is, but everytime I go there, Les has the unfortunate timing of always being there. I sit there for hours, chewing his ear off, he gets that obvious look like "My god, when are you going to leave man!? Do I have to jam a Lion Fish in your eye!?" Then I leave without buying a darn thing!

Alright alright, I'll stop. You know you always have my undying respect Les.

BTW, I sold that cube I just bought from you. I got my 92 back!:lol:

I have to say that I have never had a problem dealing with Fishy Inc. They have never not been there during store hours. Without guys like Les in the business it would make buying online only a lot easier. Haven't been out to fishy in a couple months but I have been busy with new job, closing on a house and getting ready for my first baby this JANUARY!!!
