What's the difference between these Apex Controllers?

Either classic, lite, or Jr. (not the new funky orange/grey): some are mostly all black, others have white/orange stickers? Is there any difference other than the color of the sticker? When the color changed did any of the HW change? Is one just an older version?

Right, the black versions are older. Don't believe there are any hardware differences, but I cannot say for sure. I have a mix off black and white/orange modules, though the brain is more recent.

From a specification sheet standpoint and operation, nothing changed between the black and white/orange sticker versions. It would surprise me if there hasn't been some change or revision to the guts over the years to tweak reliability, but from what I remember the color scheme switch didn't coincide with any specific change in the guts.
