whats wrong with my clown?

Even if you use Revive, it will kill the swimmers that are present at that time but remember swimmers are constantly being created from the substrata eggs or even from eggs floating in the water or from the fish themselves in the case of Brook. Revive buys you some time but is NOT a cure and will NOT kill all the parasites. Never use any of the infected water or any other equipment on the infected tank.

If the QT has to share equipment with the infected tank, then after using it in the infected tank, dip it in water with a little OxyClean powder, then rinse, rinse, rinse. And then rinse some more.

another update. i dont think they have brook. the dots on the white clown are turning into big lumps like warts. both ate a crapload today and are swimming around. if it was brook it would spread a lot more by now to both clowns and they probably wouldve been dead. im still trying to find a pic that matches what this clown has

ok ill just use all fresh new salt water its much easier

No! You cannot do a 100% WC. You will kill off all the beneficial bacteria and your tank would re-cycle.

The most that is recommended, is 30% WC every 2 days. At least, that I've seen.

That is not true. You can do a 100% WC if truly needed (( need to match salinity, pH, etc )). The bacteria lives on/in the rocks and sand, the amount of time that they would be out of the water would be long enough "kill off all the beneficial bacteria".

And may I suggest that you tune down the attitude -- if you don't like the questions someone is asking, don't reply.

Then why is beneficial bacteria not sold dry? ie MB7.

Just because they (( the bacteria )) lives on/in the rocks/sand doesn't mean they can be dried out. But, they do not live in the water column and the rocks/sand wouldn't dry out during a 100% water change.

I think you left out an "n't" in your sentence there.

You are correct, thanks. Darn dyslexia, I do that more times then I care to admit, and it can get me in trouble -- just ask any of my ex's. ;)
