What's wrong with my lawnmower blenny?

My lawnmower blenny has recently gotten very fat. I'm talking very fat. He now looks like he has a marble in his belly and this only occurred within the past week. My tank doesn't have a great abundance of alge but he loves flake and frozen food. We did recently get rid of the hawkfish that was pestering him and I'm wandering if he's just gorging himself now that he can eat in peace. I took a few pics but he's very active so it's kind of difficult. He's eating fine and he's super active. is he just overindulging now that he can eat in piece?

He's eating good now... Mine looks plump like that also!

Yep, a huge gut on a LMB is perfectly normal, especially if he suddenly has better access to food. Enjoy your tubby little friend.

I just recently lost my lawnmower. It had a strangely bloated stomach too. It wasn't present when I purchased the fish. It adjusted to my system, was accepting nearly all prepared foods and grew substantially. Then it randomly developed the inflated stomach. It wouldn't vary with feedings and didn't seem to be a problem, so I ignored it. I recently lost the fish without any good reason. (I'm guessing my serpent star took care of the body).

Hopefully someone with expertise in fish disease could offer some clues. I was thinking that it could have been some type of internal parasite or maybe that's just what an established blenny looks like.
