Just curious to see what other locals favorite coral is these days. If you can't pick just one, then two is fine by me!

What's yours?

Hi Mark,

you didn't mention yours? I'll start!

Regards

Tom

Nice choices Tom. I've never seen the WD look anything like that original picture but there are some very cool tenius' out there now.

I don't think I have pictures of my favorite corals. One is a blue polyp granulosa with blue tips and the other is a solid royal blue turaki. Both have been with me for years and have grown out and died back multiple times :hammer:

Mine's always been the one I couldn't have, A. Palmata. If I ever got back into the hobby, it would be as a conservation effort to culture and preserve this species.

Here's just a couple, but these days there are so many. The WD is also on my list. For now I love these. To get them to display as in the pics is the challenge...but hey...that's what makes it fun.

I really want to see the a pic of Mark's granulosa. Reminds me of one of my Old School favs, Ice Age granulosa.

That Coral Reeftank Rainbow is awesome and would be one of my new favs. But corals that I have would be either this guy.

It is an immature colony, but it has got huge potential. An interesting combination of red and blue with red polyps that have yellow centers and now is getting very light blue (almost white) new-growth branches. Almost everyone that comes over ask me about it. But, they also ask me about Diabolic Pacman, which is my other new fav.

I really like the second one Rich! Do you have these?

No Mark...I wish! I will be hunting them down once I know my tank likes acros though. I'm still gearing up and need to move the tank from the garage into the house.

Hola Neil.
I had the ice age at one time and it was a nice granulosa, but it had white polyps, this one has been with me since 2010 and has blue polyps. :uhoh3:

Hola:wavehand:,

I don't remember seeing that one. You need to break out the Nikon.

This thread made me break out mine to get a new shot of my no-namer ( which I actually named Reavers Armada, after the movie Firefly). I snapped a couple others while I was at it, including the Ice Age.

Here's the Ice Age:

Your Turn:)

And here's the new shot of the Reavers Armada:inlove:
