Do you name your fish/predators? If so, what are their names and is there any reason behind it.

I'll start it off:
Coral cat shark - Keto after the Greek goddess of the sea/monsters :angryfire: .
Snowflake eel - Just Snowflake for now, I can't seem to determine a better name.

Let's hear what you have! :dance:

Not really a predator but my Blond Naso is named Angelina (as in Jolie) - with those big lipstick lips it seemed appropriate...except for the fact that the fish is a male:crazy1::eek2:

Snowflake is Olof: Snowman from Frozen.

Leaf scorp pair are Ducky and Petrie: Land Before Time

Antennata Lion is Batty: Fern gully

Blue Chin Trigger(Male)- "Chester" Tigger-->Gun-->Winchester-->"Chester"

Blue Chin Trigger(Female)-"Chelsea" She's a girl Chester, heh

Stars and Stripe Puffer "Puffy".... sigh, I know

Not really a fish, but my mantis shrimp is named Kimbo Slice. A quick google of that name will show you why... Just make sure no kids are around. That dude is brutal...

We don't name our fishes...never have. It's an old taboo that says one doesn't name a fish they want to keep around for awhile.

When we have multiple specimens of a species, they get descriptions like "red", "yellow", "big", "little", etc. I supose they MIGHT be considered names in a very broad sense...

+1...also believe it is bad karma to name them and refer to them by their Latin or common names...
