When the puffer puffs~

We have a small porcupine puffer in our FOWLR...tonight noticed a "ball" in the tank...ran around madly to find the camera....and finally just as he is starting to deflate we got a couple......I thought they were pretty interesting!

thanks! I wish I had found the camera as soon as we saw it...but of course none of them were around (we have 5 or 6 digital cameras and do you think I could find one???) but at least we caught the last bit of this...he is swimming around just like normal now!

What made him puff up?

if you poke him or even grab him, he should puff up. just make absolutly sure he doesnt suck in air. and i dont recommend making them puff up either.

nice shots! I've seen my green spotted puffers puff up... sometimes they will do it just for practice... if i only had room to setup for a puffer tank...

haha, we had one that at the store i worked at, and everytime it came around to feeding, it would puff up.
