when will clown host?

I have a maroon clown about 1 and half inches long. I put in a blue carpet anemone about a week or so ago in the tank. How long before the clown will host in the anemone? Both are doing well.

Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, maybe 2 months, maybe never. Your guess is as good as any of ours. Sorry I can't help more but that is the reality of the situation.

Yup, unfortunately there is no guarantee. Eventually they will find each other.

just so you know, maroons don't NORMALLY host with carpet anemone's, but BTA's. but you never know.

i have a pink tip haitian that in the wild arent being hosted at all but i have a maroon that jumped right in on the 3rd day.

I've got a BTA in my tank w/ a 2" false perc and the clown isn't hosting after 2 months...

I got two juvi misbars the other day all sixteen were in a BTA a my LFS I get home put the two in.They decide to hang out in one of the corners will not even look twice at my BTA.
