The 6045's should be available very soon at most dealers. The 6025 we expect to be on top of in two weeks they have sent a couple hundred and a few hundred more are ready to go. The 6055 will not be readily available for a few more months, they are on the back burner right now as we switch over production to the 6101 and catch up on other products.
Tunze has made a little over fifty 6055's, with hundreds on backorder.

At this stage I can't help but believe that Tunze has a hard time with being honest with it's distributors and dealers. There must be significant problems with production of the 6055.

Sorry, we can only do so much at once. With problems we had last month with the regular production something had to give and unfortunately that was the 6055, there is no problem with being honest. I give an answer to the best of my ability. The 6055 has not stopped but they will continue to come in at a slow rate while we change over the existing production. This change is critical to freeing up the time and space needed to phase in the 6055 to mass production. To be correct they have made a couple hundred 6055 but only about 25% have come to the US, until the other changes are made there is no room or time to make more.
Please don't take it personal. It's just that I've dealt with companies that significantly delayed intoduction of new products. There was always something new that resulted in another delay-waiting for parts, annodizing problems, machinery problems, packaging, etc.
I just find it hard to believe that 6 months after they were to be put on the market that Tunze doesn't have any firm answers.
Don't they have production goals and schedules? Wouldn't somebody have to be reporting to management on the problems they're facing and when they will be resolved?
At this stage I think I'm going to cancel my order and get my money refunded.

So Roger, I ask this with all due respect. There are no 6055's being made right now? When will we begin to see the arrival of the next production of them? I ask because I preordered like everyone else, wait patiently and have hundreds of dollars out of my pocket with no pumps.
I like your products, but surely Mr Tunze can tell you when "until the other changes are made" will be. I know you tire of being asked these questions, but we, the consumer who has already paid money for deposits on these pumps, have nowhere else to address our frustration.

I am surprised as well that the 6055s are on the back burner. I was very lucky to get one of the first ones, and it has been so good I wanted a second one.
Roger, if you are correct that there are almost 1000 back-ordered 6055s in the US alone, it seemed a priority not a back burner to me. Since Mr. Tunze is with you right now I hope you convey such sentiment for us.

6055's are being made right now but this pump is very complicated, it is miniaturized to the extreme. There are so many electronics inside they are practically shoe horned in. It takes a tremendous amount of labor to build them and we cannot free up the space and the labor until we convert over the 6000 and 6100 and all other electronic pumps to the new driverless version. That is why the production is going in this order. Until the space and labor is freed up we can only make a few pumps, to really make them in quantity a half dozen people need the time and space to do this full time.
Reading between the lines I take that 6055 pumps do not bring in the same kind of profit that can sustain the business, or else I am sure more resources can be allocated or added just for the 6055's. I can also imagine the current week dollar situation does not favor imports.
Maybe a price increase will justify the 6005's put back on the top of the list? I know I may have upset some people already but business is business. I don't have room for anything bigger than the nanostreams. Of course when the price goes up to certain point the product becomes less appealing, regardless how good it is.

That is not it. FWIW 30 more shipped from the factory today. If you saw the factory you cannot even walk in there it is piled with materials, machines and people. Until the addition is finished it is struggle. The 6101 will replace 2 pumps- 6000 and 6100 and requires less time to make, likewise the 5001 will replace the 7200/2 and 7400/2 and the 6200 and wavebox pump will be replaced by one new pump. This will cut the number of assembly runs in half and the parts on hand to make pumps by more than half. This step has to be finished to make the room and time to make more 6055. We can make 6055's and will continue to but they can make at most 100 a week and we need 500 a week to start making any real progress, that cannot happen until the other pump lines are changed.

There was never doubt in my mind Tunze does not take pleasure in the slow production. Not able to get the pumps out means money is not coming in, while the expenses do not go away.
I hope things get squared away smoothly.

I invite Mr. Tunze to open a plant in Dundee Michigan. My son in law will be loosing his job at an electrical part manufacturing plant that is moving out of the country. I'm sure there would be plenty of workers qualified to manufacture them.
