Where do false perculas like to breed best?

Either best or most often?

Do they lay eggs in the sand?

I have seen pictures here on RC eggs on the glass.

Would they do it in or on their host area?

Typically they lay their eggs on hard substrate under the protection of their host anemone. If they don't have a host, they will pick another spot with hard substrate. Could be most anywhere. For instance, I had a pair of Tomato Clowns that liked to lay eggs on a standpipe.

Mine laid eggs on the side of a lr right behind their host hammer. Not a good pic I know but you get the idea
