where do i get pickling lime for kalkwasser here in oc?

golfish ... I am going to have to back out of this group buy. I just found a jars of Kent Kalk in my closet. should last me awhile. Sorry if this caused any problems

If you bought it anticipating I would take one bag, I apologize. If you can cancel my order great! If not, I will take it though but I don't really have a need for it for awhile :) Thanks!

I haven't even started yet so no worries. To be honest I doubt very much it will happen but then that's what I said about the last pallet. I'm kind of shocked people still want it. I figured I kind of flooded the market with the last batch.

hahaha. Thanks for he understanding golfish. I will keep an eye on the thread ... maybe I will use it up faster than I think and need a bag by the time you are ready to order -- if you do order :) THanks again!

What exactly is this bag thing? Is it like a substitute for Kalkwasser only cheaper?

If so, I'd take some :D I'm sooo tired of spending $10 every two weeks buying the Kent Kalkwasser powder mix.

gracias :D

I will take one or two bags if this group buy goes through, too! It sounds like ur getting close to 50 anyway... as long as everyone keeps up their part! Will you PM us or alert us if you do get the pallet?

Guessing this post was directed at me....I did do another pallet in April\May and sold all of them. 2000 pounds of Calcium Hydroxide pretty much floods So Cal for a while. I'll probably do another one once things settle down. This stuff is a real pain to deal with and like everything else the price is going up...The price per bag on the next pallet will be 65.00.

Your right, that's still a little low for a 50 pound bag when you concider the price at MD is 8 bucks a pound and probably 20 bucks a pound at your LFS.....

Shall we say 85 a bag.

Do-uble MAMA!!! :eek1: You're right though. No let's definitely keep it at $65 for the sake of our fellow hobbyists...and my personal safety!:lmao:

if you've ever transported, stored and handled 2000 pounds of calcium Hydroxide you'd probably not want to do it more then once.

The most demand is when the 2000 pounds runs out and people are paying 8 bucks a pound. I'm guessing that just about every reefer within 100 miles, who doses a lot of kalk and reads this forum has a few pounds of my kalk. If you do a search I'm sure you'll be able to find somebody who wants to unload some.
