Where does $500 efflo do best?

I dont own the $500 efflo (well I bought what I was told was one but of course it wasnt) but all the efflo's I've tried like it near the bottom of my tank.

I have a purple-tip efflo. Seems to Like it best toward the bottom under my LED's with intermediate flow. I tried it up higher with higher flow and it didn't grow at all.

Did you get the best colour at the bottom too? My Efflorescens (or Solitaryensis as most probably are) grow fast with medium lighting, but I got better colour with high lighting.

My efflo's and soil's behave the same.

The higher you go, the lighter the green and the bluer the tips ( as opposed to purple).

You can also adjust the green with the amount of phos remover, or the degree of feeding..... assuming all else is stable.

Alright, thanks. I'm running a combo of MH and AI Sols. I'm basically forced to start it low, but I like to plan ahead and see what others have experienced.

I have a small one that is starting to grow out and its low (under Sol) in the tank and receives medium to high flow. The color is dark green with purple tips.

Im also searching for this answer i have mine high flow and high light under radions. Color appears to be good but hardly any growth to speak of.

just picked up a frag(1month ago)...I was told lower middle to bottomish but honestly think it could be more towards that upper middle under my T5s. It has encrusted but no new lateral outward growth. There is a good color on the encrust. It depends on the lighting...with intense combo of MH/LED I would definitely keep it towards the bottom and see how it responds there.
