where is the best place for close to beach snorkleing?

deciding between cancun and punta cana? for this summer

anybody know specific resorts?

We were on St. John in December and we snorkeled every day. So many different bays to explore, lots of fish, turtles, and staghorn coral. We also go to Cancun yearly, and there is only one area in Cancun proper to snorkel with not many hard corals. St Croix around buck island is also supposed to be excellent. That will be our next trip.

If you are considering Cancun go a little bit further to Cozumel (an island off the coast from Cancun), it has excellent visibility and snorkeling from shore. Look at the Coral Princess,or El Cozumeleana on Cozumel for good shore snorkeling, check it out on Tripadvisor.com. Have fun!
