Where to buy an Anemone

Ok so I want to buy an Anemone online. First of all is this recommended? Secondly no offense to my LFS, but their Anemones are like an 1/2 in. across and their bleached. So where should I buy and since I have Ocellaris what should I buy. I'm looking at Carpets, Magnifica and BTAs. Which of those should I get and also where should I put this Anemone should I make an island for it?(my tank is 90 gal. so this is possible). Please help on this crucial decision. Thanks in advance.

bubble tip anemones can be the prettiest and easiest nems to keep. I have heard reefhotspot has some healthy nems. make sure you at leased read the faq thread on this forum before buying.

If this is going to be your first anemone, I would recommend a BTA, a Mag is not an anemone for a first anemone, or even a 2nd or 3rd.

I bought a ritteri anemone from Reef Hot Spot. I love it.
I still think ritteri anemone is the most beautiful creature in the ocean with its hosting clown fish. I have pink skunk pair that are extremely happy with the ritteri.

I agree that ritteri is one of the most difficult anemone to keep alive. However, if you have a strong lighting such as 250 watt double ended metal halide and random currents via Tunze pumps it is not that difficult to keep. I have had many different kinds of anemone in the past I like ritteri the best not only because it is prettier than other anemone but also it does not move a lot like bubble tip anemone.

Rose anemone is also a good choice since it is not as difficult as ritteri but it is also pretty looking one.

I hope this helps.
