My local Publix used to carry it but I can't find it anywhere in Venice now. Also checked Albertsons, Sweetbay and Walmart. Anybody know a store that carries it ?

how much are you looking for? my sister found quite a bit in brandon last year and pick me up about 10 containers..

if you ask publix they will special order it

Thanks Rich

Driving long distances to save a small amount of money would be counter productive. Guess I'll order a couple of containers, that'll set me up for three or four years .

Its sold at Walmart around summer time when you would start getting more Pickling happen :) I also have about 7-8 cans is somebody needed some.

Agu, bring a container over and I'll give you a container full of hydrated lime (same thing as pickling lime). It's the Lime I use all of the time it's certified for treating drinking water. I get it by the 50 pound bag so I think I could spare a little, which should last you about 6 months to a year. :D

I gave about 30 lbs to Greg. I usually buy the 50 lb bag for now about 7 or 8 bucks. If you go to the farm feed stores they usually carry them. It used to be $5 a bag but has gone up with everything else. As Brian said it is for drinking water purification and pure. Maybe someone can buy a bag and split it, since everyone uses lime/calcium hydroxide.

i will go in on the buy with you. i am sure i can use a little. like 10 to 20 pounds with 2 tanks running i will go thru it like water
