Does anyone know where I can find one of those Power Strips
that has individual cut-off switches for every outlet.
The ones that have those little red lights.

I already tried most big store like Best Buy, CC , Frys with no luck.

Yup that's it.
Thanks Gabriel

Those are cool right, no problem with them catching on fire or something right?
My tank is hot enough as it is, I don't want to add more heat you know. :)

i have 2 under my tank.. i dont use them but they are plugged in and ready to rock if i need to plug something in... alot of people use them.. just make sure you put them somewhere they wont/ cant get water on them

there was a group buy for them a while back.. ebay may have them for a few bucks less...

wasn't there a problem w/ the power centers in the group buy... something about one of the switches not working and it being a possible fire hazard?

$16.99

DO NOT BUY EITHER OF THESE!!!!

I bought 2 strips from the So Cal group buy & couldn't get rid of them fast enough. The plugs were very loose (bump the cord & my return pump goes off) & when I opened the unit up, evert single ground wire was loose. I sold mine & went out & bought the ones Gabriel suggested from Guitar Center...................few dollars more, but priceless piece of mind!!!

Hey Steve,

The one you got from the group buy are the one from this website for $16.99? Just wondering what's the difference between this one and the one from Guitar Center.

The one's from the website have inferior plugs & the ground wires have wire crimps on them that are very loose. The plugs felt loose the first time I attempted to use them & when I bumped the power cord to my return pump, I lost power. I wiggled the cord a bit & power was restored. I took apart the panel & found that all the ground wires were loose. The plugs were also very loose, but it was damn near impossible to tighten them up. I reboxed the units & sold them. Went & bought the American DJ models, removed the cover from them, & the quality was much better. Had a rigid common ground rod & all the ground's were soldered to the rod. Plugs were of a much higher quality too.

I wouldn't trust the cheap panels. Slight bump of the cord by the cat (or any other animal or human) while you;re not home & guess what!!!! FLOOD!!!!!! Don't want to see that happen to anybody!!

Well I took mine apart this morning and it is no where near what SteveOhh is describing, maybe he got a older model or something. All the wires have a tight fit, stacons, tie wraps, plugs and switchs tight, plugged it in and no problems. Conituity all checks out...

No problem with heat unless you decide to submerge it into the tank! I would not advise for many reasons I need not get into at this point.
