Where to get F7A fueses for Ballast?

I have no idea. nothing changed with it. it goes on at 12 and off at 10 everyday.. it just sits in its corner.

I'm not all electric knowing. but what if someone plugged in a high power item the same time the lights come on? like a vaccum? or would that just trip the breaker?
I don't know what kind of fuse it is. my description was above.

If what I read is correct it's a normal blow fuse rated for 250V. I don't think the voltage is as important as the amperage but if you're going to be re-wiring it you might as well try to find a 250V fuse.

If someone plugged something in that caused a huge surge at the breaker box it should just trip a breaker. If a big surge came through the electrical lines it could do something like blow a fuse but other devices should get the same surge and would blow fuses or worse.

Well, I made it up to Gateway Electronics today and they didn't have the fuse. The wire going into the fuse is 18 gauge and 16 gauge coming out. An 18 gauge wire should have a 4 amp fuse MAX and a 16 gauge wire should have a 7 amp fuse MAX. So they had the exact same physical size at 6.3 amps. So I took that and plugged it in and voila! we got light.

All in all, I guess that the ballast had a larger fuse than it probably should have. The larger it is, the less likely it would blow and, in turn, cause problems(fire). This smaller one is more likely to blow and prevent any problems from happening.

The store was awesome, kind of a hole in the wall, but has EVERYTHING you could possibly need (except for a F7A fuse) for circuitry. Almost makes me interested in circuits........nah.

Next time you're in need of a small electrical part that's your best choice I'd suggest.

Now, I feel like I need to sit at home for a while to make sure no problems arise from the ballast. ugh, that sucks since it's so nice outside.
