Which 2 part to use?

I use B-Ionic. I buy it in the four gallon buckets. I am setting up a 120, and I like having the ability to control how much of what goes into my tank. If you don't have a doser, do yourself a favor, get one that has at least two independent channels.

It is really 3 part, do not forget mg. In form of mgcl.

All the fancy names are nothing, bulk reef supply's products are the same as the other, it is just in a bulk dry form. You may feel better about adding bioturbosupergrowbalancecalcium, just a joke.

lol :) I get what you mean. I'm just looking at shipping cost/ amount I will get/ cost really.

I use BRS it's cheap enough, and if you buy it on sale it's really cheap. Easy to mix. Depending on your needs though you may want to track down a bigger jug so you don't have to refill them as often.

Baking soda is the same as, bulk reef supply kh. I have used arm and hammer for 6 yrs, never a problem, in fact it is food grade, for human use, probably better quality.

I also started using bulk reef supply 2part, love how they have the videos you can watch on how to mix each part to eliminate confusion.

I always considered BRS stuff to be Randy's two part. Randy doesnt sell anything...he is just recommending to mix raw chemicals ourselves to save money.

What is eveyone who says "randy's 2 part" using for calcium. I thought dow flake was not to be trusted anymore.

I know Randy doesn't sell anything. What I meant was I read his article and I wanted to do it that way. I'm just verifying what brands to use for each part.

I also use BRF 2 part. I also think I saw Randy post a few days ago that BRS is basically his mixture.

Yes, all bulk reef supply does is sell the different components of Randy's two part. I guess I could just track down the brands that others use and pick it up even cheaper from home depot, but I like to think there is a little accountability when buying from a place that is selling it directly for reef purposes. Even if it's only a false sense of piece of mind. Get a bad batch of Ice melt, what can I do go to home depot and say the driveway melt you sold me nuked my reef tank? ;)

Prestone Driveway Heat and the cheapest baking soda I can find in bulk. Going on close to 10 years now, never had and issue, and saved a lot of $$$ ;)

Any calcium pellets distributed by Scottwood Industries. You can get a 50lb bucket for $20. They also supply it for Prestone Driveway Heat. Look on the back of the bag for SWI (scottwood industries). I (and others if you do a search) have been using it for a few years, no problems, corals look great and growing great.
