Which Clown for a Haddoni Anemone?

In my previous tank I had a bright green haddoni carpet anemone, but neither a clarkii nor a percula showed any interest in it.

Despite not having a hosting clown, the anemone received regular feedings (much to the chagrin and bravery testing of a fire shrimp) and was very happy. It even grew significantly over time.

My only other experience was with a maroon clown and a RBTA, the two of which loved each other.

I'm hoping to acquire an anemone with a clown already in love, but in the event that I can't I wanted to feel out other people's experience.

Has anyone seen any correlation between the color of the anemone and clownfish receptivity? Specific species of clown? Age or size of clown (I know it should be appropriate to the size of the anemone, but are younger clowns apt to pair up with an anemone or inconsequential?)

Thanks in advance.

Have a good one.

A Haddoni is one of the natural host for a Clarkii as is a Saddleback ( Amphiprion polymnus ).

Currently in my tanks I have a pink skunk pair and a Clarkii pair being hosted by Haddonis ( different tanks )

Saddlebacks ended up being hosting by my haddoni. It ate a couple ocellaris clowns prior to them.

I have had Clarkii, Saddle Back, and even Tomato clowns in my Haddoni. They were all wild caught though. If given enough time, I believe any Clarkii or Saddle Back will begin living in a Haddoni.

great pictures guys

thanks for the feedback

I think if I might go with a black saddleback pair if I can find them. Nice contrast to the anemone.

Thanks again.

Thanks, I really love the color of it. Wasn't as deep of a blue when I first got it, but after a month or two it really colored up. Though I am starting to like my green one a lot now too.

My picassos being dwarfed by my huge haddoni anemone. The clowns are about 2-2.5" long for comparison.
They were very young when introduced to the anemone but seemed to gravitate to it. I don't know if the color had anything to do with the attraction or not.
