which light for nano dx12

my son's 12gal dx seems to get real warm with cover closed (even with cover open) and we are thinking of upgrading to mh but i see viper 70 and there is a fixture that sits on tank with 70 watts , can anyone offer any guidance as to which one is better.
we plan to also have fan blow across top for better temp control.

i have a 70W sunpod over my 12 gallon aquapod. Ive had it for about 5 months and so far no complaints. I think theres 3 companies that offer a 70W MH. JBJs Viper, Current USAs Sunpod and AquaMedics Ocean light. If your a DIY kinda guy you can build a 70W Mh pendant for around 100-125 bucks.

Thought about a peltier/chiller?

I have 1x70w+2x18w in the hood of my NC12 and it stays at 80 with the heater set to keep it there.
