Which Sand to Use?

I have a 55 gal and a 29 gal that have been up for awhile now. Both contain live sand. I'm wanting to put more sand in there, and I was wondering if I could use regular sand bought from say Menards or Lowes? I don't need anymore live sand, and argonite is just too pricey considering it is JUST sand...

I'd like to have white sand...ideas?

Silica isnt the best stuff.
