Which Stichodactyla species gets bigger in captivity?

IME both of those species can reach a diameter of 24" or so.

Haddon's has a much more massive column and prefers to stay low in substrate.

I remember Phender's thread on here a while ago when he physically split his Mertensi anemone. Man that carpet was massive!

Mertensii can get larger than haddoni and gigantea. Between haddoni and gigantea, I believe it depends on the individual anemone and the conditions it's kept under.

Meterns can get VERY big!But I dont think one will get larger then the other to be honest.Gig's may look bigger becasue of their longer tenticals but I really think as long as they are happy they will grow.So as "EC" said it depends on the tank!
