Which Tunz?

I have been looking at the Tunz for making waves (; but which one for a 180 G tank?

I was thinking 2ea 6101 (6201 looks like it might be too much for the tank). I figure placing them at opposite ends of the tank, facing each other with a controller.

Does that sound about right (for those using Tunz)

Yes I would agree with the 2 x 61001 using a 7095 multicontroller. One pump on each side

Yes, that is the set up I would use, if you are keeping a LPS/softy dominated tank you will remove the jumper from the transformers so the maximum speed is 1800gph, if you are keeping SPS you will use them with the jumper installed so maximum speed is 3200gph.

Before your reply was posted I went ahead and ordered 2, 6201 units; is this going to be too much or can I use these units? (in other words, should I return them and get the 6101 or can I use the 6201 and turn the units down?)

The 6201 just has wider flow, the reach and force is about the same. If this is a hardcore SPS only tank you should be fine but otherwise I would think the 6101's are plenty.
