Hi Roger,

What tunzes would you recommend adding to a bare bottom 180 (6'x2'x2') with mostly SPS, and zoos\LPS on the bottom?
i want to keep all the debris suspended in this the bare bottom tank :)

My current flow:
one seaswirl on the front left corner with about 600gph and another seaswirl on the front right corner with 900gph.

I also have a dart pump closed loop running about 2500gph with 4 returns but i intend to remove it once i add the tunzes.

here's a pic:

I think I might personally consider 2 6101s and 2 6055s You can put the 6101s up high like "normal" and put and or direct the 6055s down low to keep detritus off the bottom.

I agree with green frogspawn, at least I would start with 2 6101's and I think that may be enough. If you need more flow in spots a couple 6055's or a wavebox could be added.

I think I would try putting one on each side pain mounted about 16inchs(ish) from the front then angle the pumps angled maybe 65(ish) degrees so it is angled to the front pains far side. This way the pump would push water across most of the tank when it is its turn for full speed but at the same time criss cross with the other pump and also bounce of the front glass and hit down low a bit......... just my thoughts

Well....i bought 2x6101 and put them in the corners facing at about 45 degrees towards the front panel and i have one 6045 pointing down in the center back. i also removed both closed loops.

So now im getting about 8000gph \ 44x turnover rate.
Doing a great job for me and the flow is wide and strong...nothing settles on the botton except for the corners where i can conveniently siphon it during water changes.
