Which would be the better choice?

Looking at two totally different tanks/styles that I find appealing for different reasons. Plan on doing a mixed reef with a stronger lean to SPS.

Option 1: 150 gallon rimless (60 x 30 x 22) from Great Lakes Aquariums.

Option 2: 245 gallon (72 x 30 x 26) with traditional canopy also from Great Lakes

Which would you choose?

Option 2: 245 gallon (72 x 30 x 26) with traditional canopy also from Great Lakes; I cannot say this is better, but it is what I would choose

Option 2. You'll never say "my tank is too big. I should have gotten the smaller one."

The 245 would be awesome. I like rimless but I am to worried about chemicals making there way into the tank as mine is fairly close to the kitchen : )

It depends on your setup
1) where is it going
2) how important are looks to you if in the open and not built into a wall.
It's your choice im sure you've already made your mind up but just making sure with others.

Option 1 - just because it would seem to have a better "footprint" to me, although it would depend on what was being planned for fish inhabitants (i.e tangs, etc.)

I also downsized - easier to keep multiple tanks when they are smaller... :)

Option 3, which is option 2 as eurobraced and no canopy. :D

Honestly I'd probably go with option 1, I don't think I could ever buy a tank with black trim again for my DT.
