Is this the 40g breeder in your signature?

It's hard to get a look in the photo but if it's actually white, it is probably not algae - could be diatoms, a sponge, or any number of other things.

Have you tried manual removal? See if it'll suck off with a siphon hose the next time you are changing water.

I have the same think covering my BRS eco Rock. I has a brown HA outbreak and used the Algae Fix Marine. Great Great Great stuff. 5 Doses and weekly scrubbing and the HA was gone. This white peach fus took its place. The snals cant keep up with it. It is barely noticable but I fear it is preventing my coralline from growing on my rocks..

So Algae Fix will not help with this.

I have used a toothbrush on it as I'm doing a water change, it then appears to be gone only to be back in 2 days. Ill let it go till my next water change and take another picture It almost looks like a halo around the rock. thanks again,Dan

I'm having the same problem with this stuff. I've added a CUC, done numerous water changes, kept the lights off for a few days, taken rocks out & scrubbed them down. Any ideas? Here's a picture after a couple days:

I added a few turbo snails, and they seemed to clean a few areas so far, I will let you know if they continue to work.

any update on this white fuzzy stuff guys? I got the same thing.. Also growing on my BRS eco-saver rock..

Hi Tetra84, The white algae has been gone for several months. I added a short spine sea urchin along with the turbos and that did the trick for me. The urchin was the key.Good luck let me know if I can help

Dan

my only bad experience with urchins was I had one nice sized rock with great coralline growth on it, and my urchin munched it all off left the rock bare =( other than that, they are great cleaners, and really really cool to view diff species prob eat more or less coralline i had a purple pincushion about the size of a baseball
