Does any one have a pic of the white or ghost or full yellow comes?
I would like to order a pair but cant seem to get a nice pic of either one of them.

Is there a diff between a yellow and a full yellow?

There is a difference in all of them.
The white isn't a true white but closer to a grey white.
The yellow is a brownish or blackish yellow
The full yellow is reasonably yellow.
Now, all that being said, mine all change colour to grey black, or black with yellowish tint.
Never order a seahorse for it's colour as better than 90% of the time it will not remain that colour, some even before the shipment gets delivered.

Buying by color or patterns in never a good idea as Ray said. They will change based on their moods, the water quality, their enviroment and just because they can. Since you mentioned the Ghost, that is a term used by AMI to described some of their H. comes.

Listed below are some of the other terms they use to describe their seahorses. They are all marketing terms use to enhanced the appeal of the seahorses. ( I C & P this from another site I am active on.)

H. comes
White Tiger Tail
Ghost Tiger Tail
Yellow Tiger Tail (I think these are now in the UK market. I read on another site about it.)

H. reidi
Black Seahorse
Yellow Seahorse
Leopard Yellow
Yellow White Band
Bright Yellow
Golden Flaked
White
Lemon
Orange
Leopard Orange
Orange White Band
Red

So if you are in the market for a H. comes or H. reidi, buy them for that fact only and not for a desire color or pattern. Just do a search on here and see how many people are not happy with it or are trying to find a way for their seahorses to return to their original color/pattern.

Their is nothing to know about a standard H. comes VS a Ghost H. comes. The care for them is the same because they are the same kind of seahorse only with a different color at the moment.

Kind Regards,

Tim

I actually dont mind if they change.
If they dont change its a plus.

Was just wondering if the ghost looks diff.

Thanks for the info

Your H. comes might go to white/off white when they are mating? The males sometimes will turn white and shimmy & shake at the females. You are lucky that they didn't charge more. Normally if it is COLORED they want more money for the seahorse. It is not worth it at all.

Kind Regards,

Tim

I thought the white and ghost were the same thing but apparently not.
Most of the H. comes coming into North America just now, are coming through Aquamarine International.
I have heard recently though, that Aquamarine is NOT breeding all the seahorses they are now selling, in their own facilities. Another Sri Lankan breeder is apparently supplying them with some but it's now clear how many and which species.
Originally, Aquamarine was only breeding H. reidi in house.
