White protrusion on tang

I just discovered a white protrusion on the belly of my yellow eye kole tang. It's not ich, and there have been no recent additions. Only other fish are two clowns. Tank is a 75. I've had him for a couple months now and he's very lively.

The white spot looks kind of fluffy like it may be bacterial. My tangs gut seems to look swollen in that area, but he acts fine and is eating and pooping like normal. Maybe over ate and stretched his gut?

Tank specs:
75 g with 30 g sump
I run a skimmer, carbon, and phosguard.
Ammonia, and nitrite are 0
Nitrate is less than 5
pH is always around 8
Alk is 9.3
Cal is 450
Mag is 1320
Temp 77
Phosphate is a little high at .17 but it's coming down. It was much higher, leeching out of my rock.

I'm completely at a loss as to what it could be and where to proceed from here. It's my wife's birthday so I'm about to leave for the day to take her out so I won't be able to do anything immediately. Any help would be much appreciated. If I left any parameters out or need any more info let me know.

Here's the best pic I could get... he's not one to sit still.

I could simply be that it was injured and is healing. My flame angel presented with something similar a few weeks ago and it healed on its own. Could also be lymph, though my fish usually get it on the lateral line or fins.

Thanks. It looks slightly better this morning so I'm going to ride it out a bit and see how things go.
