white spot on eye

so my pbt didn't have this last night, but I noticed today that it has this white smear in its left eye. it is raised a bit and looks like it has 3 peaks. nothing new has been added to the tank in a few weeks (3 coral frags were added a few weeks ago). it's still eating like crazy and acting normal as far as I can tell. I tried to get the best images I could, but it's so damn fast and I don't have a real camera. any idea what this could be?

so researching a bit I think the only thing it could be is flukes? I can't find anything else that it could be. I'm going to guess my entire tank is infected. the weird part is I did 2 doses of prazi to the tank not to long ago and I thought it knocked it out...apparently not

white spot on eye

so I've decided to dose on every 4th day. after 72 hours I run carbon for about 12 hours then do a water change and redose. I'm on my second day of my second dose and the pbt still has flukes on its eyes...***?! I planned on doing 4 doses but is it possible that. I need to do more? I vacuum the sandbed during the water change and everything...are these flukes really that hard to get rid of?

btw I have a 125 w/ 40g sump and I'm dosing 2.75 tbsps of prazi pro. it's a little OD but everything is fine in the tank. I also bought 2 brand new 4oz bottles so the stuff so it can't be bad.

I never believed in the mela/primafix. idk it's gotta be flukes. it shakes the head, darts around, hangs in front of the powerhead, lightly brushes the sand once and a while and has marks/smudges in its eyes.

Have you tried a trap? That's usually the best way to get most fish.
Another option is to try to get them at night when they sleep. This works of course best if you know where they usually sleep.
The last resort is to drain the water.

I haven't tried a trap, I don't have one.

I know where it sleeps but I can't get to it, it's impossible to get the net in there. plus right now it's not sleeping but pacing back and forth at night.

I only have a 20g can for water right now. draining the water would be impossible. I have a 50g at my parents house but I'm not sure it would make s huge difference.

the best thing I think would be a trap, but locating one might be s problem

they worked for me, my PBT had an infection from a cut on it's eye, cleared it right up.

if I was going to go the bacterial/fungal route I would definitely use metro/kanaplex. mela/primafix don't really state what they attack, gram negative or positive, they are very hit or miss. at least with metro/kanaplex you know what they are attacking and you can make decisions based on the outcome.

I'm going to follow through with the 4-5 doses of prazi and see what happens. I still see a fluke in one eye but today it's not pacing and darting as much.

that's because they use natural anti-fungal anti-bacterial plants. -they don't target anything specifically, which is why your biological filtration isn't impacted. So yes, it is hit or miss, but it's also completely safe to use.

I've done 4 rounds of prazi now and the pbt still has flukes in one eye. I'm going to do a water change and try metro/nori for a week and see if that does anything. I can't believe it's still infected...

does metro have any effect on flukes? I'm not sure what else I can do in this situation. the PB still has a white spot on its eye
