White stringey poop is usually caused by internal parasites. I've found that the best way is to feed a medicated food. Jungle Labs makes an anti-parasitic food that contains metronidazole and acriflavine. You can either try to target feed, put him into a breeder box and feed, or more him into a QT.
If you put him into a QT, you can also consider dosing metronidazole directly into the water.
