White Stringy Poop

I picked up a few fish from a guy breaking down his tank. They all seemed healthy, eating well, and he had them for a while. Sometimes this male anthias has white stringy poop. He's been in my tank for at least 6 months. Everyone in the tank is eating well. Is this diet related versus parisite?

Ive heard that white poop is from internal parasites but if youve had him for 6mos and he eats well and is seemingly doing well I wouldnt worry. I do think a Prazipro QT treatment would rid him of this but if its too much trouble I would just let him do his thing.

Oops sorry for the late reply. I do feed primarily mysis. I switch it up with other frozen foods occasionally, like once a week. I just thought it was strange only one fish had white stringy poop when I feed the same to everyone.

If it is solid, stays together and breaks off clean it's just the mysis. If it lingers around for a period of time and it looks like the fish is trying to shake it off it's most likely parasites.
