White Tail Bristletooth Tang - head lesion

Upon arrival I noticed a little discoloration, lighter colored in that area than the rest of the fish.

After acclimation he was dipped into heavily oxygenated formalin bath for 40 minutes. I placed in the QT and went to work. And this is what it looks like now. Almost looks like a cut but I'm having a hard time telling. Any ideas or tips for treatment? I'll try to get a video posted.

Just keep. A eye on it and feed enriched frozen varieties with selcon and vitachem. Wouldn't worry too much about it at this point

Definitely treat with an antibiotic against secondary bacterial infections as a precaution.

I have Kanaplex and metroplex on hand. Of the two which is most appropriate in this case? I will observe and if it gets worse I will dose.

I don't have any experience with either one of them. I've used Maracyn 2 and Furan 2. Both worked well but Furan 2 made water yellow and required more water changes than Maracyn 2.
