Whitewater Rafting? Spelunking?

I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with any whitewater or spelunking (cave exploring) comapnies in the area? I know I've been rafting twice in the Monongahela but it's been so long ago that I can'r even remember the company that took us out there... I'd like to do some of these outdoor activities this summer now that I have a higher paying job and will be able to afford it. Please let me know.

I've never considered either to be honest with you... I may be up for those, but I doubt my fiance would be into either one. I'd love to do some skydiving as well, I think that would be cool.

they are planning a repel down the bridge of the new river gorge in oct. 876 ft sraight down

I go accross New River everytime I go get my kids in GA. That is one impressive structure.:eek2:

To the OP, I used to raft at ohiopyle all the time, we always used White Water Adventurers.

Now that I've looked at the two Ohiopyle sites listed here, I'm pretty sure that's the place I've been rafting before... It's been so long... I'm 21 now, and I think I went with my church when I was around 13 or so. Ohiopyle does bring back some memories though.

I love that type of stuff. I went with my parents to Smoke Hole Caverns waaayyyy back in the day, and I really enjoyed that. We stayed the weekend in one of their log cabins, did the cave thing the first day, and enjoyed hiking and trout fishing on the second day. It was a great time that I'd love to do again, but this time with just my fiance and I.

I used to work at a summer camp near Ohiopyle State Park and we used to use Riversport School of Paddling in Confluence. They are excellent people and run a really professional outfit that has been in business for a long time. They do canoeing and kayaking. www.shol.com/kayak
