Who Calls the Plays?

I must admit, I do not know the specifics of whom is calling the plays in specific situations for this team.... Is it Chan? Or is it Modkins? I'm pretty sure that regardless of whomever calls MOST of the plays, it's Chan who does the deed in end-of-game or critical situations. As such, I'm starting the call for the head of whomever's responsibility that is (yes Can, that's probably you). Last week you decide inexplicably to call a play with Brad Smith throwing a deep ball to the end zone, with a 3 point lead, with 3 minutes left to go. Had Alex Carrington not blocked the chip-shot field-goal, they would/should have lost that game.

This week, 2 GLARING late-game playcall errors make me want to strangle someone. First, why in God's good name do you kick an extra point in the 4th quarter with little time left on the clock to go up 6? Go for 2! If you miss, you're up by 5. A touchdown still beats you. If you make it, a TD sends it to OT... But even more baffling.... You're up by 6, have the ball on your own 35ish. It's 3rd and forever and you call a play with an empty backfield for a deep out to the right?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!? When has your quarterback shown an ability to throw that pass? Why would you not even have the THREAT of running in that situation? Why do you coach your QB to make that throw instead of checking to either of the two options on the other side of the field that were WIDE OPEN on less-dangerous routes? How is that your playcall in that situation? If you could have asked me, 'What is the worst play-call in this situation?' I would have said either a: deep ball by Brad Smith, or B: Deep out by Fitz out of an empty backfield. I don't want to hear the EXACT SAME quote from last week, "If we make that play everyone's saying it was a great call, and if we don't it's terribe." IT WAS TERRIBLE TO TAKE A SIMILAR RISK LAST WEEK AND YOU DIDN'T LEARN FROM IT THIS WEEK! RUN THE FOOTBALL! Worst comes to worst you punt, give them the ball back with no timeouts and a long field... Instead, you turn it over and give them the game. You deserve to loose.

I don't know if I can take anymore of this team refusing to learn from their mistakes. It drives me up the wall!

As far as who calls the plays... I'm not sure in this exact instance. Generally there is an offensive coordinator who does it, but in a lot of instances the head coach does it. Either way what a terrible call, just as the home run wildcat WR pass was last week.

I'm not a Bills fan but those 2 play calls were terrible.

Awful execution of a terrible play call. Sickening. I started wondering if someone's on the take. Beautiful weather, though.

Had the same thought.
Wonder who will get fired and replaced this year to sell tickets next year.

Nice call on letting Moorman go too. Two shanked punts at critical moments in the last 2 games by the new guy doesn't help.

It's the same old cacophonous song with a small change in a rift or two now and then.
