What a knockout. That fish looks like a monster and I'm sure is a great looking fish. If I hadn't bought the 8" clown tang and 9" lieutenant tang from DD last week I would have gotten this guy. Hoping someone on RC got this guy.

They've been getting alot of fish from maldives lately and they are all big, colorful fish. Hope they keep the trend going. They are really nice fish from maldives.

I would loved to have the beauty but not possible with my tanks/space avaliable... and on the other hand i would be leary of buying a fish that size because iam afraid it would be too old therefore a shorter life span for me to enjoy the fish..i prefer to watch my fish grow up to me buying a huge fish would be like getting a 100 year old grandma for an girlfriend for an 18 year old kid

I have seen a similar one on offer here in Japan but a pair:

These are 8 or 9 inches though. I really want them but have been hanging out for something a bit smaller. Thing is the Blond Naso seems to be quite rare here and first time I've seen one in years. Was just about to get my Royal Gramma harem when these popped up. Hmm, what to do.....

What a hog! I can't imagine him in a 125 gallon tank though. LA/DD sets the standard for quality fish... wonder if they'll raise the bar and eventually decide to offer realistic recommendations for min tank size. I'm not bashing them, it's no better or worse than what any of the other vendors publish; if anything it seems like many of the other vendors duplicate the LA data. Sorry about the thread sidetrack.

I bought my first naso tang because Petco said they needed a 75 gallon tank...comparitively a six foot tank seems very reasonable.

Have a 10" Naso Blond in a 6 foot tank. It seems small, because tangs like to swim, then again the Naso is prolly the most docile tang and really doesnt seem crammed. Had him for almost 6 years, the fish is like my dog.

How big of a bag does a 14" fish get shipped in? A kitchen trash bag? I couldnt imagine getting that bad boy delivered.... you'd need a 180 just to QT it.

Take a 5 g bucket and cut holes in the bottom, and then wrap the whole thing in plastic. That's how we've gotten them with spines intact and without shredding the bag to ribbons.

That is a very good idea!

I dont understand why these fish are so common in the hobby though. This has to be a LFS regular and these fish get 14"+ I just don't get it.

Does anyone think the ones I posted are comparable. Just looking for someone to talk me into getting them rather than the Royal Gramma harem. :p
