Who Has Sponges in Their Tank ?

Does anyone have pics of colorful sponges in their reef tank ?

I did(orange) but once you told me that if they were exposed to air it could be bad I got rid of them

Some guy from the TBRC I got a 55 gal off him and brought some frags as well and he gave me the songes. He said he got them from the gulf on his boating trips...

LOL ......the eel is peeking out in that pic. now that tank is full with DIY LR and I only see him when he wants to eat

I have one large orange sponge it has been in my tank for about a year and a half it is about 16 inches tall. I still haven't figured out how to post picts on this site so sorry.

I have 2 yellow ball sponges for over 2 years now they have not grown at all but they are still alive. I will get a pic this afternoon when I get home.

Roger, That is a beautiful sponge. Where did you get it from ? was it ever out of the water ? I have read that if they come in contact with the air ,they will slowly die. Yours looks great . Ted
