Hi

i have one haddoni for about 6 months and one gigantea for about 1 month in a 40gal breeder stand alone system with live rock and sand and all that. the tank itself was tied to my main system for couple of years but since adding the haddoni i want to seperate from my main as i have too many anemones in the main system alreaady.

anyway, to get to the point, both are doing fine. my gaol is to look out for their best interest so i want to know if any of you keep 2 carpets in the 40gal for a long time w/o issues.

i change water every other day by 2 gal or once a week by 15 gal.

since this is a stand alone it is easy for me to monitor water level. once it dip below the line i add topoff water.....

I have a haddoni and gigantea in a 40 breeder myself. The system holds about 100gl's though. IMHO, 40gl's is not enough water for both anemones. That's only 20gl's a piece. They can pollute that water in no time. It's hard enough just to keep them off of each other in such tight quarters. Obviously, I think it's doable, but I think you should add a large sump and run carbon.

ok i have a rubbermaid 33 gal that i can turn it into a sump easily - that would be about 70gal ~

do you think that would do?
