There are 6 channels...2 whites, 2blues, red and green. And the red and green also include orange and amber...so 6 channels 8 colors

What people ... as they found out that I have and tested, the "show and show '... Please - just about looks.

The prototype so do not look at the mess inside, fasteners, washers, etc. .. weird - Some things and it still will be corrected / changed because I do not like - such as bacon, you can turn off the backlight logo or change the brightness of the software-as someone too hard on the eyes gives ...
the other three models soon as you overtake.

I dont understand the point of this post....also those lights are the same..just different housings...in fact there is a third light in that group your not showing.
 
well i don't have the version you posted in that photo..like i said there is a third unit..it looks similar to the Grey one but white. Again i dont see what your getting at.


MODS..please check the IP address for PolyReef and Grizley guy..they both joined in FEB 2012, both have almost the same amount of posts and both are extremely interested in bashing this light with false claims...coincidence???
 
Well they will clarify your statement. You have version 2010 not 2011.
By the way the difference between 2010 and 2011 same components different casing.
Except yours has a higher voltage input to LEDs.

I don't understand what ever point you are trying to make......I thought the topic on this thread was WHO IS USING REEFTECH LEDs. It seems as though you have an ulterior motive/agenda.

If you have a valid point to make then make it but to post jumbled non-sensical rhetoric is a waste of everyone's time.

I suppose that means something to you and you are attempting to irk someone @ Reeftech (as suspected) however it means nothing to anyone else here who are simply having an open discussion about the brand of LED's they chose to use.
I suggest you start your own thread.....this way you can banter back and forth with yourself.

I'm not offended.....I just don't see the point you are trying to make nor can I understand most of your statements. As posted on page 1 (along with pics)I have the 2011 reeftech models. I have only been using them since around December 2011 and like them alot. After customizing my own program with the lights I am quite happy with them. I'm only considering the 2012 version because of the upgrades....especially the addition of red and green colors. Getting back to my lights....I rarely change the settings now....but if I do I use bluetooth connections.
I'm not sure what your last sentence means: are you referring to Country Critters?
Why don't you post a pic of your tank and the LED's you are using?

When it comes to previous page I just want to clarify which model He has.
And yes I am upset with RTL the way to conduct the business with me.
They did not deliver what they were promise. After they receive my money. not only the lamps was not delivered on time. The model 2011 did not have what they promised to me doing that sales presentation. As off today my lamps are working on that software which is was never finish. Faulty software make for me impossible to use computer with lamp 24/7 . Power units have a very short cord. basically what I get many empty promises from the people who they don't even know how to provide honest and good customer service.
That's my story and that's my opinion.

Good Luck wit your update and I hope you going to have better experience than I did.

sorry for your troubles with Reeftech.....they have always assisted me...even with simple mundane questions. I personally do not own any LFS...I am just an indivual who has a reef tank with Reeftech LED lighting.

Regarding you situation:
1) Why don't you get some pictures posted so that we can see what you are talking about? Can you post a few pics of the lights in question over your tank?
2) How many units did you purchase?
3) Not sure what you are talking about regarding the power units having a short cord? I thought that the Meanwell drivers all came with a standard cord (approximately 6 ft length or longer).

Like all of us....you are entitled to your opinion....however I just would like a certain comfort level in conversing with someone. The fact that you have such a small amount of posts raises some ambiguity as to the motivation and direction of your posts. Some people create accounts for the sole purpose of bashing. I'm not saying this is what you are doing however it leaves an impression of uncertainty regarding your allegations. I mean why should we all stop enjoying our lights if the complaints you pose are fictitious?

Post some full tank shots with the lights in question and then we'll talk further.

Some people never cease to amaze me......and I don't mean that in a positive manner. Many of the people here on RC recognize me my by sign on name, I go by the same name on Manhattan Reefs, LIRA, New Jersey, Boston, CT reef clubs (I could go on).....None of them know me as a LFS owner OR a person of Polish decent.....I am actually Italian-American my friend.
It was obvious from the inception that you had an agenda and it wasn't to add to our discussion.

Please!! Some of us on Reef Central follow various threads to help them make a decision on which LED lights to consider for their reef. Bashing one another really does not help at all. Innuendos do not help anyone!
