who needs a casino to lose money?

I'm back among the gambler's in the URS. (A couple of you guys already have Pomacanthus Angelfish in your reef.) Here's the new fish and here's it's likliest target: my big red Cynarina. Why'd I do it? Who the h*** knows? Keeping fish and coral by themselves is no challenge to me. Keeping fish together with corals is.
OK, I'll admit it: Seeing Steve and John with big Pomacanthus in their reef's pushed me over the edge!

Hahahahaha . . . sucker. I Photoshoped the P. annularis in my tank!!! Just kidding. Welcome to the big leagues. :) Now if I can only get Kevin to put a Blue Face in his tank . . . :D Personifiers are going in my next tank. I saw pairs available a couple of months ago.

Sonofagun- the truth comes out. I thought you strategically placed corals in the aquarium for the photos, Steve. :D
Stay tuned- the red Cynarina might go up on the auction block soon...

Bob Sweeney- it looks like you were in Spencerport when I was in Syracuse today. Now you know why.

Looks nice, Your right about the hobby being a gamble. Hopefully if it goes down it won't be in one sitting.

With the bew tank I hope to do some more larger/exotic fish but there is the whole "risk factor" thing. Best of luck.

I'm expecting this fish to turn into something of a fat "lunker" in my aquarium. It's a sponge and Tunicate eater. I'm also hoping it will eat Xenia and brown star polyps.

I'm sure I could come up with some floor space in the tank should you need a babysitter for the bubble. Beautiful fish and the bubble is looking good too. Best of luck.

You got it at Fairmount Aquarium? If so, I've seen it(very nice fish)!

Ah, well that's very good since they are very difficult fish and probably shouldn't be collected. They did have a small one at Fairmount.

Looks great Gary.

Gary,
Keep this post updated on occasion so we can know the long term habit of the fish. I am torn between majestic, regal, and flame.

Hey we can see the sparkle in the photo, you are getting amazing at these pics.

amazing fish Gary MMR had a royal angel there that was eating good I was very tempted but I also just got my first clam I have seen pics of them in peoples reefs before any thoughts on the royal.

royal=regal?
(I don't know what a royal is.) I do know that Regal Angelfish are well known zooanthid eaters- and that's why I eliminated the species from consideration.
Kent- the pic was taken using natural sunlight from our skylight.
So far the fish hasn't bothered anything that I know of.
This particular fish was buddies with a purple tang in it's last aquarium, but my purple tang harrassed this fish at first. Now the purp has given up- the Angelfish will not be intimidated.
I've kept Centropyge, Chaetodontoplus and now a Pomacanthus in my reef aquaria and this fish has been the least destructive (so far).
None of the Angelfish that I have kept bothered clams.

Kent,

Lots of people have problems with flames. Majestics do pretty well usually do quite well with SPS and many LPS. There is a huge thread in the Reef Fish forum regarding regals. People seem to be doing rather well with them now. If I had a larger tank I'd consider adding a regal as well.
