and if you don't mind letting me take a look. I've been contemplating the purchase of these for the 200G.

Thanks in advance.

just the L3's here...FWIW if I were to rewind back to when I bought them, I would have bought the mini's. The L3's are awesome, just too big.

PK

That's was I was thinking Patrick, I checked their website for the dimmensions and found them to be too large if I wanted to include VHO's.

RickyB, call me if you wanna come by and see the mini's! I've got one installed next to a 400w and 250w retros and the difference is amazing!

I may jump for the double ended, so I can use the new BLV 14K lamps.

Boyd:)

Sounds good Boyd, I really would like to see one of these in action before I purchase. I keep reading great things about them and I want to see them first hand.

Shoot me a PM and let me know when its convenient for you.

Thanks
RickyB

Hello
What's up rickyb, installing a new light above the laundry tub!!!
Wrong! I convinced him to set up the mother ship thats been collecting dust for ages.:D Set up that baby and were talking frags.:p and:beer:

Doug, I do need more light in the tub :)

Menard talked me in to setting up the 200 at the Reefaholics meeting, hehe :)

Boyd, thanks for letting me see your setup, despite what you say about it... IT'S SWEET. It was also nice talking to you about reef stuff. I also know now why zoolander was always trying to beat you getting all those zoo's. :)

Guys and gals, based on what I observed on the reflectors, there is no way any reflector will beat the lumenarcs.

I agree, for those interested here's mine over the 180. Great spread. If you have heat issues, you can get these with a glass enclosure, and vent them with flex tubing. Great way to add extra heat to the house in the winter!!

RickyB, Thanks for stopping by, it was good to see you and talk about reef stuff! :)

I totally agree with RickyB and pk1 - The Lumenarc will be at least 40% brighter than your standard retro unit with the same lamp - In fact, it's even brighter than a 400w retro in my tank!
