Oh I love fishin'. Especially deep sea fishing. Can't beat a charter. I'd definitely be up for that. Last time we went we we're catching 6 - 7 foot redfish, mackerel, benita (Not sure on spelling) and some other fish. It was awesome. We had 5 rods going all the time.

I really need to get some more salt water gear. I've been sticking around where I live catching crappie and bluegill, trying to catch bass, haha, and catfish.

We'll have to get together and do some fishing sometime. I've got a wide bottom fishing canoe with a live well that you don't have to register. Iz nice.

I'l check out the website again. I'll fill out one of the applications as well.

I'm actually East of Knoxville--Farragut is like half-way to California for me...

Oh yea, a suburban that can fit a 300g can fit our needs. I think we may have enough interest in a fishing trip. Too cool... I started a new thread on the fishing trip.

Thanks for the spelling on that one. I haven't caught them since I was 12 or so. Fun fish to catch, though.

Sounds good on the fishing trip. I don't do a lot of drinking anyway, so I can always drive. No big deal.

I am up for the fishing trip though. If you want to take the canoe out and do some fishing, I can strap it to the top of the car and take 11 to knoxville. As long as you don't go too fast you won't go airborne, haha!

That's the great thing about it... you don't need a trailer to haul it. Just some good rope.

I've got a trailer we could use... Be alot faster to take 75... Especially from Athens... The Clinch is all the way up in Clinton... Might be easier to hit the Tellico... lol

We've got a place called Cottonport down here. Awesome for LMB and crappie. I caught a bluegill that was 12 inches from tail to mouth. HUGE.

Yeah, those are a hybrid around here... I think they call them Shell-Crackers or something like that...

Shell crackers! I grew up catching them in Miami 30 yrs ago. Voracious bream! Similar to TN Red Eye, but not. I never thought of them being hybrid but it makes sense. I hooked live lizards in the neck skin (don't look Mel) cast towards the bank and let them try to swim to the bank. Topwater blow-up! (bream sized blow up)

I got a boat last fall, and have no idea how to fish local waters (other than spinners for trout in the Clinch), so if anyone's game, and doesn't mind my crappy boating skills, let me know.

I'd love to go fishing with you Dave. Just name the place and the time. I'm not too much on freshwater artificial lures... even though I buy them all the time, I never have any luck with them. Earthworms and crickets for me!
