WHOA! Carpet shrank from 13" to 5" in less than 5 seconds. What happened?

No, this is not the usually expulsion of water i've seen. The anemone was fully opened, then all of a sudden when I blew some air bubbles off of hair algae no where near it I saw it shrink. REALLY REALLY Fast! It retreated all the way into the sand. You can't see the foot at all, just the many folds that it must fold into when it becomes 5" big.

So, what does this behavior mean? I was not expecting this. Problem? I had just added B-ionic to the water a few mins before, maybe it was irritated? Or, ?

Has anyone else seen this happen in a Haddoni?

Wow, though. I had been putting my hands in the tank all the time. And, I fished out a coral not 10 minutes earlier with no problems. I wouldn't think it was just frightened.

Still like to hear if anyone has seen this.
