I am gonna be moving my tank pretty soon, and was just wanting to see other peoples tanks mainly rock structure so i can get some ideas on how to place my rock in a new way after i move it. what better time to rearrange a tank than after a move right?... but right now i have about 180-200 lbs crammed in my 90 it looks ok kinda dense tho. i hope to see all kinds of different looks.

thanks...

I would split the rock between the tank, sump and refugium.
As long as its in the water column its ok

capn_hylinur... u have a fraggin awesome tank! cute kid too. and i have 30 lbs broken up rock in my 55 fuge already. but my 30 gallon fuge i could just turn into another tank as it has no baffles or anything... if i have rock left over. salty and reeferman, i'm kinda liking the more sparse look...

thanks for the compliment----you can put the rock in the sump also--I have about 35 lbs in there and alot in the fuge also

interested in the two fuges you have and what's in them--any pics

i'll go get pics quick. the 55 is covered with algae, but i'll clean one side ta get pics. the 30 is just 4-41/2 inches of sand and about 10 lbs of rock with a tidepool II on the top that the water passes thru befor entering the 30, and an extra protien skimmer the 30 is barron cos i use it as my QT when i get a new fish i disconect from the main system and leave him in there for a while.

here it is, sorry for the small pics. i can upload to my pbase account if u want bigger pics... the left, is where the tank drains into fiji mud and Miracle mud. then it just overflows onto the rock and through the cheato. i have a little bit of smooth leaf kelp a little Neomeris sp. algae. small amounts of hair algea and other nuisance algae fine sand and marine biosediment

oh yea, i've got alot off branch coral, i've given tons away. and i cant bring myself to kill any so in the fuge it goes. and the water level is so high cos today during top off i got side tracked cooking and forgot about it.

i'm lovin the pics, heres my quick pbase account

my tank looks so bland and barron compared to others... beleive it or not between the 55 fuge and 90 display there are 3 shipments of 45 lbs of fiji and a 30 lb shipment of tonga. and about 32 lbs of hand picked rock from F&S @ 6.99 A LB!!! its packed in there. i'm a huge fan of nano fish and thought all the little places for hiding would be great. but never thought of detritus build up. and the cram packed idea is bothering me now.

i'll get a pic of my 30 gallon fuge tommorow when the lights come back on. another 10-15 lbs or so in there....keep the pics coming please!

Here is what my 120 looked like in September before I re-aquascaped and added 25 lb of Eco-Rox (shelf) to create some more ledges.

This is my 120. The pic is about 4 months old, but it is pretty much the same. The corals are just bigger.:D
