The tank is new (5 months) so not many corals yet- but I'm working on it.

Tank is 375gals, 96" X 36" X 25". Light looks a little strange - more blue on left - because I'm testing 2 Radium 20Ks on the left against 2 Reeflux 12Ks on the right.

I love your 2 seperate shoals, my votes for the radium 20k's everything seems to pop a little bit more over there in the pic.
which bulbs do you like better? or recomend. . .

Thanks !!! And yes, it is a pair of EVC 250w DE 20K's in pfo mini pendants / coralvue non dimmable ballasts .The color is spectacular in person. It is close to the photos, however everything just looks brighter in person. I use a cheapy point and shoot olympus with some manual settings so was the best shots I could take.

The one tank that really stands out to me on this post and sticks in my mind is the all LPS tank on page 18, PoukieBear's tank. Very well done! Do not see very many outstanding all lps tanks.

I dont doubt for a second that it looks brighter and crisper in real life, did you ever try photo shopping? i know i've tried to photo shop my pics, but i'm incompetent and can never get it quiet right. I agree poukiebear's tank is stunning but the one that sticks out to me is the one with the tank sized red monti in it

Yeah that thing is a MONSTER. I know exactly the one you are talking about. VERY cool. Heck he could catch monti nudies and it would take them 5 years to take down that colony haha.

I tried photoshop to brighten the photo a bit so it looked more like in person, but it just butchered the photo so I did not save it. "I have an old copy of photoshop 6" so probably one of the reasons it does a bad job, that or user error haha.

Those red tabling acros above look amazing as well!

To be honest, it's too early to tell. I just got the Radiums a couple of days ago. I like waht they do for the coral's colors - but not so much for the fish.

You should get photo shop CS3 I know in that version you can use Adobe Camera Raw for JPEG images, unless you can shoot in raw mode with your camera. Adobe Camera Raw is a very useful and powerful tool, I got CS3 for free cos my brother downloaded it when he was in malaysia, you could get for free in the states to, but, you know, that's "illeagal" . . .lol i know for me its 90% lack of playing with it and the other half is user error

thank you, yes they were, all from a 1" mirabilis frag from atlantis.

I know I'll be tagging along on your build thread to see what conclusion you draw from the 2 different sets of bulbs, I'm still in the process of setting up MH's over my recently set up 75, but I only have 10 k's that have yet to be fired. I'm worried its gonna be to white/yellow-ish, but for now its FO so i'm not in a hurry.

Heres my 120g reef, recently transferred over from a 38g:

I think this is a pretty standard "Two islands + valley" that is popular with the four foot tanks. Having 24" front to back really made it easy for me though.

LOYAL CONVICT...

lol i know for me its 90% lack of playing with it and the other half is user error.:confused:

lmao, when its taken outa context like that all kinds of stuff ran through my head... when I mention anything that requires the slightest bit of knowledg i use the 140 percent rule (which ever rule that is) When i ran CNC hobbers shapers and lathes i always used the 50% rule when some one asked me a question, so i was always right half the time... or would that be half right all the time, I dunno I think I'm 50/50 on that one too......

Just turned 14 mths a mixed softie/LPS tank. A work in progress which I guess they all are. Why would we do it otherwise?

The left side is my favorite too, its very open and theres a "tunnel" that my tangs love swimming though. That is a green slimer back there, it used to be much bigger (I got it from a tiny frag!) but the tips STN'd due to a power outage right before the major tank transfer.

I love scopas tangs. From far away they don't have the bright pop of a yellow tang, but up close their patterning makes them really pretty.

Very nice tank, I like your redish/pink brain, is that piece of LR on the bottom left? with the 6 er so arms protruding upwards?
