Who's Getting the Cook Island Variant Helfrichi?

I just saw a Marshall Island today for the first time and I thought they looked great.. I didn't really know alot about them. I thought they had a expensive price tag...($40.00 each), but after coming home and doing some reading I think I might go back today and pick up the pair for $80.00 What do you Think?

Well you are wrong.

The cook one has much more purple, more purple less yellow on the head, and is overall more vivid. Plus the size difference. The regular one is 1 3/4" the cook one is 3 1/4", much larger.

thanks for the good info

its a beauty... but i personaly would rather spend the cash on a couple bigger fish that my aged eyeballs can actually see from my recliner rather than pulling out the magnifying glass while sitting on a bucket with my nose smashed against the tank glass..lol but more to the point i prefer to stay married and not pay big bucks for some other guy to live in my house, drive my truck, pet my dog, mess up my fish tanks, treat my kids like the milk mans kids..and spend the child support money on his drugs... (you can see the x wife called today thankfully i have the kido since day 1 and not her)

I would bet a side by side comparison of this morph to the "normal Helfrichi" would not make this fish any more attractive than the normal Helfrichi. Just my opinion, from a reefer w/ mordid experiences w/ firefish. However, I'd buy buy it in second, if I had the cash---very cool fish.

As a less experienced reefer who persoanlly doesn't care for the look of fire fish when I saw the pic on Diver's Den I was attracted, well until I had a heart attack from the price. It was the first fire fish I considered wanting to buy again before the price.

I can see how some like the other species better. This one is more of a pinkish purple though and a bigger firefish which I think is cool, the size of it. Also I think what sets all the firefish apart from other fish besides their behavior is the white coloration. Not many fish are white and if they are they are usually white and black. These fish in general are just different.

Alright, I get some of you guys saying the cook island looks no better than the regular helfrichi... but those of you saying a purple looks better than a helfrichi are nuts!
