I think I saw that someone had one at 15 inches?
Thats how big mine is, 38-39 cm across the oral disc.
I feed it chunks of red and white fish about as big as its mouth 1 or rtwo times a week and have it under 270 watts of mixed pc 7000k to actinic.

15 inches is big but it's got more to go!! ;) I had a super nice haddoni for a few years - I had to sell it because it was about 18" across and I had no tank it could fit in. It certainly didn't belong in the 20g I was keeping it in.

Yours is looking great BTW!

VERY NICE but you might want to watch them GSP next to it

I had a nice dark mustard yellow haddoni for about 7 years that was around 18" (~45cm) across. I had to get rid of it because it took up one whole side of my 4' tank and it was eating too many of my fish.

It was before digital cameras so I don't think I have any pics, but I will look around.

This carpet has just topped 15" and growing all the time. I wouldn't trade the fish eatin fool for nothin. My friends call it a putting green.

Yeah the tank is 18 inches deep the lights are 2-3 inches from the top of the water.
There are two units with 4times 36 watt bulbs

The exact combination is 3 x 7200k, 3 x 50/50 (10 000k/blue) and 2x actinic.
I did have a 150 watt mh but it kept playing up so I swapped it with a second pc unit.
The temp is set by a chiller at 27-28 degree celcius.

It has really settled in with the onyx percs as they are not as rough as the clarks I used to have.

Wow, I can't believe the OP has success with pc's.

There was life before MH and CPs. :) My haddoni was kept in a 55 gal tank under 5-40 watt normal fluorescents.

All carpets are not the same. Haddonis don't need nearly as much light or flow as giganteas.

Mines not as big but its getting there. It ranges from 12"-15". The clowns with it are full grown also. Female is 5.5" and the male is 3.5". Ive had the carpet for about 2 years now, clowns for about a year and a half. The carpet has tripled in size.

Sorry, my camera belongs in the trash can.

My carpet is only around ten inches or so but growing like a weed. He is under VHO lighting only in a 150 gallon tank.
