why are red candy apple zoos so expensive??

I'm currently setting up my frag tank and I'm looking for some rare zoas to frag and sell on ebay. after looking at various amazing zoanthids i couldn't help but notice how expensive the red candy apple zoos are?? why?? there not the best zoos in the world and they certainly aren't my favourite but yet there very expensive
any thoughts??

its simple, people will pay the price. Thats what dictates prices. The amount customers are willing to pay.

depends on locations your at and what the supply is there and going prices there. Heck CARs here aren't that expensive especially if you get them within your local reef club or from fellow reefers from your area.

They're worth whatever someone is willing to pay. You say you plan to resell them on eBay. I'm sure you would rather get $40/frag instead of $15/frag, just like the buyers you're looking into purchasing from would as well. If no one buys them at that price, or the market is flooded with them, then the price will fall.

Get in with local reeefers. Buy sell and trade with them. I picked up about 10 polyps for $40. Also if you're looking for rare zoas expect high prices. It's just a sad reality.

This is very true. I got a single polyp of Jason Fox CAR at a local club meeting for 10 bucks. I know for a fact i can get 40 bucks per polyp if i were to sell them on eBay. It's all a matter of where you are and what's common in your area. May not be common in another area. How much you charge can be based on demand, or you can just skyrocket the price for profit. People will pay it.

CARS shouldnt be that expensive these days, they are really nice zoas hardy and grow fast.

There are a lot of "CAR" Morphs out there now that are expensive, like Candy Apple Oranges, and Bowsers, and Shazzams etc. Perhaps they are trying to mark up CARS in hopes people will confuse them with these more expensive morphs.

Gloves and eye protection are important IMO
